Do You Know Your English Level?

Beginner

At A1 Level students can:

  • Understand and use basic everyday expressions and simple phrases.

  • Comprehend spoken English when the speaker talks slowly and clearly.

  • Discuss personal details such as where they live, work, and information about family and friends.

 

At A2 Level students can:

  • Participate in slow-paced conversations about basic personal and family information, and general topics like school, work, and activities.

  • Handle simple, everyday tasks that involve straightforward exchanges of information on familiar subjects.

  • Describe their past, environment, and immediate needs using simple language.

Intermediate

Learners at B1 Intermediate level can:

  • Comprehend the main ideas of clear texts on familiar topics written in standard language.

  • Handle most situations during a trip to English-speaking destinations.

  • Create simple, well-structured texts on familiar subjects.

  • Describe personal experiences, events, wishes, and aspirations, as well as explain opinions and plans.

 

Learners at B2 Upper Intermediate level can:

  • Understand the main points of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including some technical discussions.

  • Express themselves fluently and spontaneously, allowing for smooth communication with other English speakers.

  • Produce clear, detailed texts on a wide range of topics and present a complex perspective on an issue, including discussing the pros and cons.

Advanced

Learners at C1 Advanced level can:

  • Comprehend a wide variety of more challenging, longer texts and identify implied meanings.

  • Communicate fluently and spontaneously, with minimal effort to find the right words.

  • Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes, producing clear, well-organized, detailed text on complex topics.

 

Learners at C2 Proficiency level can:

  • Easily understand nearly everything they hear or read.

  • Express themselves fluently and spontaneously with accuracy in complex situations.

Course Content

Courses offers 10 or 20 x 50 minute live online or classroom lessons with a native English tutor. The courses are designed using the Walker Confidence Method to help students learn to speak English in a fun and fast way. Lots of speaking in the lessons, but also and essentially covering important material including:

  • Adjectives and Prepositions

  • The Articles 'a' 'an' and 'the'

  • Comparative Adjectives

  • Present and Past Simple/Continuous 

  • Possessive's

  • Question forms

  • Vocabulary for Everyday Life

  • And much more...

 

The Walker Confidence Method although unique; helps students to prepare for IELTS and Cambridge Examinations.


Our 1-1 lessons offer the best and quickest chance for students to progress in their speaking. The online and classroom groups are kept small (2 to 3 students) to still give students the best opportunity to speak live in each lesson whilst also saving money on the courses. The course include free access to an online study group, lots of course material for every lesson, fun practice exercises and a preparation examination at the end of the course if required.
